With so many teams working from home right now, it's harder to know where projects are and what team members are working on. And let's be honest, there are new distractions during the workday, whether that's keeping up with what's going on in our world or the extra "coworkers" many of us just found ourselves working with at home.

I'm often asked, "What is your favorite task/project manager." I don't even have to pause and think about it. Hands down, it's Asana. I love its ease of use, the ability to track tasks for all my clients and team members, its power to automate task creation, and the ability to assign tasks and deadlines from my computer, email, or on-the-go from my phone. The best part is, it gets all those lists out of my head, off multiple handwritten sticky notes/notebooks and into one place, so I don't have to worry about forgetting something. Oh, and did I mention their free plan has a robust service offering.

If you decide to purchase one of there plans there is a 5 seat (user) minimum but they offer small team discounts.

I've used Smartsheet for over a year when I was overseeing an adult education department with program offerings. Honestly, I loved it! The functionality of this product is robust, professional, and if you like ghat charts, they've got you covered. It was on higher side for a team but invaluable to me for all the same reasons as Asana.

If you have Microsoft Teams already, I encourage you to check it out. Microsoft Teams continues to offer solutions in areas of chat, collaboration and messaging. It is a powerful full-service suite of products. I have mentioned in a previous blog post that I use Microsoft Teams but haven't been able to use more than one account at the same time. Since Waggoner Professional Services has a client that uses it, we use other solutions.

I have colleagues that love Trello. I've used it but my brain must not work the same way their' does because I wasn't a fan. That said, there is a reason there are so many software companies out there...everyone has different preferences. If you like the set-up, give it a try.
